REFUGEES FROM DARJEELING? Some of the supporters of "Gorkhaland" movement, living in Darjeeling, Kalimpong , Sillugari and other areas are angry and they have sent me their nasty messages to me to express their unhappiness with me. However, I know I am not against them, but as a matter of fact I am trying to highlight their issues. Unfortunately, they think that the formation of "Gorkhaland" is an easy thing. They need to understand the fact that if they want a separate state or a separate country, they will need to have outside support from Nepal, China, Bhutan or Bangladesh. Actually, they will need support from their Nepali-speaking brothers and sisters living in USA and in other countries also. Many of them are openly claiming that Darjeeling actually was a part of Nepal, and have talked about "Greater Nepal". It appears that their actual goal is creating a separate country, not simply a separate state as they claim. And obviously, India will never let it happen so easily. I am afraid that more than one laakh supporters of "Gorkhaland" supporters will be kicked out by India and they will have to enter Nepal as refugees. In that case, USA probably will consider bringing those new refugees here for their resettlement in USA.
