REGIONAL LEVEL PEER EDUCATORS CUM CAMPAIGNERS WORKSHOP ON SWACHH BHARAT & SUNDER BHARAT HELD AT BSG, SHQ, PANBAZAR ASSAM STATE FROM 21ST TO 25TH NOVEMBER, 2014. CAMP REPORT The Regional Level Peer Educators cum Campaigners Workshop on Swachh Bharat & Sunder Bharat from 21st to 25th November, 2014 at BSG, SHQ, Assam State, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam, was conducted by Mr. Arun Chandra Patar, Assistant Director, N.E. Region with the help of Ch. Birendra kumar Singh, ROC(S), N.E.Region, Mr. Jitendra Chetia, Pre-ALT (S), Mrs. Niju Rabha DOC(G) and Mr. Ranjit Kumar Das, HWB(R) of Assam State. Mr. Th. Bhaktaraj Singh, SOC(S) of Manipur, Mr, Gary James, SOC(S) and STC(S) and Miss. Ctherine Nongkseh, HWB(G)/ASOC(G) of Meghalaya State, Mr. Kholie Dolf, HWB(S)/Former SOC(S) of Nagaland State and Mr. Ajon Taro, as Quarter Master from Assam State. Participants from Arunachal Pradesh 12nos., Assam 110nos., Manipur 06 nos., Meghalaya 05 nos., N.F. Railway 55nos. and Tripura 11 nos.. i.e Total 199nos. participated and 10 nos. of Staff Members from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland. Grand Total 209nos. Including Staff members were in the workshop. The Workshop was started on 21st November, 2014 by Registration at 08.00am. Settle down. Prayer, Flag, Integration Session, Workshop Objectives and Briefing of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also done. On the second day i.e. 22nd November, 2014, session on personal health and hygiene, Demo class on Filter process for drinking water, Dangers of Defecting in the open, Disposing waste and use of composite pits, and Safe drinking water were done. Where Dr. Harendra Chandra Das, SCC BSG Assam and Zoology Subject Teacher Priyama Hazarika of Cotton Collegiate HS School delivered their speeches with demo class as guest lecturer. Messengers of Peace introduction session with activities was also done by Mr. Gary, SOC(S) of Meghalaya and State Coordinator of MOP. On the third day i.e. 23rd November, 2014, Cleanliness drive was done by all participants(Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers/ Units Leaders and Staff Members) in Guwahati City area. Session on Sulav Sowchalaya was taken by Guest Lecturer Mr. Pulendra Nath Choudhry Public Health Engineer of Guwahati. Youth Forum/Group Discussion also done where some of the Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers were participated, on the other hand Drawing & Painting and Slogan Writing competition were conducted. On the fourth day i.e. 24th November, 2014 a Route march was organised from our Camp site Pan Bazar, Guwahati to Ujjan Bazar, Guwahati and back taking playcards of Swachh Bharat, on the way a road show/Nukar Natak was also demonstrated to the public in three places(Ujan Bazar,Ambari &Rly. Stn. Guwahati). Session on Ecological Balance and a session on Free Being Me was also conducted by ROC(S), NER. On the fifth day i.e.25th November, 2014, All Faith Prayer was conducted, followed by the Open Session, Evaluation, Final Talk, Lowering of BSG Flag and singing of National Anthem. The Participants and the Invited Staff were very happy with the programmes and the activities conducted during the Workshop.
