I have taken the 1953 film Miss Sadie Thompson starring Rita Hayworth - a film that was produced during the production code period - so the character of Sadie Thompson was looked at as lewd and filthy by censorship boards and religious groups. Today, it bears a small resemblance to any. It just proves their lack of human understanding and righteousness.
