REJECTION! REJECTION! REJECTION! Have you been rejected by your classmates, officemates, relatives, friends, or even by the people you love? No one is immune to rejection. Everyone has experienced this one way or another. Rejection can be one of most painful feelings that anyone can experience. that is the reason why I can relate with what people who are in pain upon being rejected. The feeling of being unwanted, being treated indifferently, and being considered an outcast can cause mental and emotional trauma. Sometimes you are even pressured to do something that is against your principle and you will do it just to merit acceptance. That is the reason why some people would do anything even to the point o risking their name, reputation, and sometimes their life just for them to belong to a group or organization. The deep need for us to be accepted, appreciated and acknowledge is one of the the greatest human fulfillments. Let us stop the hurt, anger, and sadness. Never add insult to injury. Stop torturing yourself by looking for love and acceptance from the wrong places and wrong people. I tried to look for it from friends, relatives, and loved ones through achievement or accomplishment, but at the end of the day, everything failed! The harder I tried, the more I get hurt. Unfortunately, the people who are closest to us are the people who can hurt us the most. A mentor of mine revealed to me that I cannot solve a permanent problem with a temporary solution. If you are longing to be loved and accepted, you have to find a person who will never judge or reject you based on your social standing on the clothes you wear, on your financial status, or your accomplishments or achievements the criteria to find that person may seems impossible but there is one person who will never leave us nor forsake us. that is no other than GOD. That is what I did. I received Christ as my Lord and Savior way back. When I started to have a personal relationship with Him and got to know Him better, This is what I have personally discovered: GOD loves us and accepts us for who we are, not who we can become. GOD makes us feel important even if we do nothing for Him, unlike some people who will only give you importance when they can get something from you. God loves us so much that he even sacrificed His only Son to save us from our sin. That was a reassuring feeling that I do not have to please men by doing what they want me to do, by living a life that is based on their standard, and by achieving more in order to be accepted to their social clubs. All I need to do is to please GOD. All I need in my life was to be accepted and loved by God, nothing more, nothing less. If you are experiencing what I used to experienced, do you think it is time for you to stop looking for love and acceptance at the wrong places and drawing it from the wrong source? THINK> REFLECT>APPLY. Have you been doing something that is against your will just to be loved and accepted by others? Are you living in pain from the feeling of rejection? Who are you trying to please in your life? Men or GOD? DONT allow REJECTION stop you from what GOD wants you to be.
