REJOICE, PEOPLE. WE CONQUER. GREAT NEWS FROM INDIA FOR ISRAEL. As I mentioned a week or so ago, two major state elections were to take place in India. The results are out, and the pro-Israel party, the BJP, the party of PM Narendra Modi, has won in both states. In the state of Haryana, the party has gotten a majority by itself and doesnt need to form a coalition. In the state of Maharashtra, the BJP won, but not by enough to form a government by itself. So it will most likely form a coalition with another right-wing party called the Shiv Sena (which is just as pro-Israel as the BJP, but is not a national party). This is HUGE news for Israel. States in India have tremendous autonomy and can establish trade and economic ties with foreign nations without the central governments interference. BJP-ruled states like Rajasthan, Goa etc. already have booming economic ties with Israel. Even Maharashtra and Haryana are going to follow suit now. Also, bear in mind, Maharashtras capital is Mumbai, the financial capital of India, making Maharashtra to Indias economy what NY state is to the USs economy. So SIT BACK AND WATCH as state-level ties (along with national ties, considering Modi is the PM of the country) sky-rocket.
