This is the age of information technology, no doubt. It is also true that technology can help improve our relationships; the fact, however, remains that technology can never replace real people. Long-distance relationships rarely work, and it’s better to avoid them if you don’t want to live a scattered life. If you say, ‘’though we are far apart, our hearts are always together,’’ it is only valid if your body is made of thin air. And even if you constantly think of her in your heart, always bear in mind that what is in your heart is not her, but your own thoughts; you still need to wake up to reality. ‘’A bird in hand is worth two in the bush,’’ according to an old English proverb; and you must be careful not to end up being the bird in the bush.
