RELEASE: Pop Culture Architects is looking for people to take part in a film project over the weekend of June 27-29. We are competing in the Atlanta leg of the 48 Hour Film Project. This will be our sixth year taking part in the project and we are looking for some new talent to add to our ranks. If you are an actor, musician, composer, editor or videographer and are looking to take part in the local independent film community, this can be an excellent opportunity. The 48 Hour Film Project is a competition in which teams of filmmakers come together over a weekend and each produce a short film using the same character, line of dialogue, and prop. Each team is assigned a genre in which to make their movie. 48 hours later, the teams turn in the completed movies. The movies will then be screened at the Landmark Midtown Cinemas. These screenings are an excellent opportunity to meet others in the business. The teams range from ambitious amateurs to seasoned professionals. Becoming a part of our group costs nothing and pays nothing. But, it is a chance to have your work screened at the Landmark Midtown, meet others in the business and build your demo reels. Our movie will also be posted to YouTube as well as our podcast site. You will be able to link to the movie and embed it in your own sites. Copies will be made available to cast and crew and raw footage will be made available for demo reels. We are looking mainly for actors, musicians, composers and editors. However, we will consider anyone who has a passion for creativity. A good sense of humor will be helpful. This will be an all-digital production. We will be shooting and recording in a local recording studio and rehearsal space. If youre interested, contact Christopher Ray via e-mail at christopher.a.ray@gmail.
