RELIGION BREAK UP INTO SECTS Narrated Hudahaifa bin Al-Yaman (r.a): Allahs Messenger Muhammad (pbuh) said The people used to ask Allahs Messenger (pbuh) about good, but I used to ask him about Evil for fear that it might Overtake me. Once I said, O Allahs Messenger! We were in ignorance and in Evil and Allah Has bestowed upon us the present good; will there be any Evil after this good? He said, Yes I asked, Will there be Good after that evil? He said, Yes, but it would be tainted with DAKHAN (i.e. little evil). I asked what will its DAKHAN be? He said THERE WILL BE SOME PEOPLE WHO WILL LEAD (people) ACCORDING TO PRINCIPLES OTHER THAN ANY AS-SUNNAH ( legal ways)... YOU WILL SEE THEIR ACTIONS and DISAPPROVE of THEM. I said, Will there be any Evil after that Good? He said. Yes, there will be some people who will INVITE others to Gates of Hell, and whoever accepts their Invitation to it will be THROWN IN IT ( by them ). I said, O Allahs Messenger! Describe those people to us. He said, THEY WILL BELONG TO US and SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE. I asked O Allahs Messenger! What do you Order me to do if such a thing should take place in my Life? He said, :ADHERE to the GROUP ( OF Muslims) nor a Chief ( what shall I do )? He said, KEEP AWAY FROM ALL THOSE DIFFERENT SECTS, EVEN IF YOU HAD TO BITE ( i.e. Eat) the root of a Tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state. ( Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol.4; no.803; pp.515-516)... Almighty Allah (swt), the As-Salam said, Verily, those who divide their Religion and Break Up into SECTS ( all kinds of Religious Sects) you have No concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allah, Who then will tell them what they used to do. ( Quran 6:159) The Prophet (pbuh), collected from various chains of narration states, And this Ummah ( Muslims ) will divide into Seventy-three (73) Groups, all of them in the FIRE except One. ( Abu Dawud 5:5, Tuhfat Al-Ahwadhi 7:399; Ibn Majah 2:1322); ( Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Abridged) vol.3. p.374) It has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (pbuh) said, The Jews and the Christians were Divided into Seventy-One (71) or Seventy-Two (72) Religious Sects, and this Nation will be Divided into Seventy-Three (73) Religious Sects-All in HELL, Except One (1), and that One is the One on which I and my Companions are Today (ie. following the Quran and the sunnah). ( At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Abu Dawud) ( the Noble Quran in the English Language: p.79). Almighty Allah (swt) says, He (Allah) has ordained for you the same Religion ( Islamic Monotheism) which He ordained for Noah, and that which We have revealed to you ( O Muhammad-pbuh), and that which We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus saying you should establish religion ( i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no DIVISIONS in it (religion) ( i.e. various Sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikun, is that ( Islamic Monotheism ) to which you call them. Allah chooses or Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in Obedience. (Quran 42:13 ). And they Divided not till after knowledge had come to them, through ( selfish) transgression between themselves. and had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord for an appointed term, the matter would been settled between them. And verily, those who were made to inherit the Scripture (Torah and the Gospel after they ( i.e. Jews and Christians ) are in grave doubt concerning it ( i.e. Allahs true religion- Islam or the Quran). ( Quran 42:14). And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah ( i.e. this Quran ), and be not DIVIDED among yourselves, and remember Allahs favour on you, for you were enemies One to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren ( in Islamic Faith ), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus makes His Ayat ( proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to you, that you may be guided. 105) And be not as those who Divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they whom there is an awful torment. ( Quran 3:103,105).. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) recited this verse and said, These people are those who invent New things ( Bid,ah) in Religion and the followers of the Vain Desires of this Muslim Nation, and their Repentance will not be accepted by Allah. ( Tafsir al-Qurtubi; Ref. The Noble Qur,an;p.282).. Narrated Aisha (r.ah): Allahs Messenger (pbuh) said, If somebody innovates something which is not present in our Religion ( of Islamic Monotheism) then that thing will be Rejected. ( Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol.3; no.861). Whoever performs a ( good ) deed which we have not ordered ( anyone ) to do, then that deed will rejected and will not be accepted. ( Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol.9; no.; Chapter-no.608)...
