REMEMBERING TRACY ROSE....He is buried on the Papua New Guinea Bible church grounds , at Tonga River! It is a rugged remote area in the Southern highlands of Papua New Guinea..Tracy fell and was critically injured as he swung out over a gorge, on a home made swing. The swing was safe, but he lost his balance and his head lodged in a tree stump about 50 feet below. He was air lifted to the nearest hospital by an Austrailian Army Helicopter that was on manuvers. As soon as he arrived at the hospital, doctors gave no hope, because of the severe brain injury.....Our first son, Rob, was born at the same hospital, just a few hours after Tracys death. ....Life and death have knitted our hearts together with the Rose family...... Tracy was an amazing young man, gifted with his hands. I remember a homemade guitar he had in his room, standing against the wall.He was the type that could have been an inventer. He was a dreamer and adventurous. He was not a dare devil, but liked adventure.like climbing Mt. Giluwe and rafting down the rapids of the Tonga River. He was gifted in mechanics. He walked all the way to Tambul from Tonga River, which took several hours.....I believe more than 5 ....because Bob told him if he could get an old motor bike we had to run, he could have it.....He accepted the challenge. He worked on the bike a couple of days and ROAD IT BACK TO TONGA RIVER. Tracy loved MASHED POTATOES!. They would always be heaped like a mountain on his plate. He loved the Lord and enjoyed playing his trumpet at the outstation churches . May God bless his memory to all who knew him, and may God bless his family in a very special way today!!
