REMINDER Call for Applications: MSc Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable .. Dear Madam or Sir, The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) calls for applications for the Master of Science programme Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design (IUSD), a double-degree Master organised jointly by the University of Stuttgart and Ain Shams University Cairo. The programme will provide access to a wide range of advanced expertise in the fields of participatory planning and building, energy-efficient construction, integrated aspects of landscape and infrastructure planning, urban management and governance. The programme stretches over 25 months, the first two semesters are spent in Stuttgart, the third and fourth in Cairo. The target group of this master’s programme are young professionals from the fields of Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Regional Planning and Civil Engineering who ideally already have some work experience. Bachelor degrees in Geography, Urban Sociology, Sociology and Cultural Studies, Political Sciences or Economics with relevant professional experience are also accepted. The DAAD offers a limited number of scholarships to students of the IUSD Master. Arabic scholarship recipients are awarded a full scholarship to the amount of € 750 per person and month during the study phase in Germany and € 700 during the study phase in Egypt, plus a lump-sum allowance for flight expenses, as well as study and research subsidies and a health, accident, and liability insurance. Then deadline for application for the Masters programme as well as the scholarship is on the 15th of February 2015 for a start in the winter term 2015/16. Applications have to be submitted digitally via the online portals of both Stuttgart and Ain Shams universities.
