REPENT! REPENT! REPENT!!! Do not let the false prophets deceive you. Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. This is the crying call of Jesus Christ our savior. Do not let them deceive you by preaching a powerless cheap grace as the grace of God. The grace of God is powerful, the grace of God appeared to save you from sin, it appeared to teach (train) you to deny all ungodliness and worldly lust, to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness. There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years. So I was angry with them, and I said, ‘Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’ So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’” Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest. Hebrews 3:7-19. Jesus Christ did not preach unto sin, but unto righteousness, He did not preach for you to continue living in sin, He did not come into the world to make it ok for you to live in sin. He came into the world to take your sins away, to break the bondage of sin over your life so you can live a righteous life. Many have come into the world in the name of Jesus Christ and are preaching doctrines contrary to what Jesus Christ preached. Jesus Christ preached unto righteousness and not unto sin. He calls for all who seek Him to repent and change their ways, to reject their old ways of living and take up His way of living, for Him to live in you and you to live in Him. -Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God. 1 John 3:7-10. -Since we know that Christ is righteous, we also know that all who do what is right are God’s children. 1 John 2:29
