REPORTED HOME INVASION INVESTIGATION A St. Johns County woman reported that she was assaulted inside her Heritage Park home early Tuesday afternoon. Deputies responded to the residence on Red House Branch Rd. at 4:15 p.m. following a report of the attack. The victim stated that she arrived at her home at 2:00 p.m. and entered the residence. She told deputies that she was accosted from behind by a male subject and assaulted. The male subject, who then fled the area, was described as a white male with brown shaggy hair, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, wearing a blue shirt and dark colored “work type” pants. The victim was transported to Flagler Hospital where she was treated and released. A search of the area did not locate the suspect. Detectives are asking Heritage Park residents that may have surveillance cameras to determine if any subjects matching the suspect’s description are captured on their system.
