REPOSTING FOR THOSE THAT MISSED IT: This is a PSA for all my dear Poets on FB... If your desire is simply to spread the love and joy of poetry and to write to your hearts content, this message is not for you...BUT...if you are a Poetry Author and you have a book (s) out there that have been published or you have every intention of publishing one day, can I give you a piece of learned advice? Please...please stop posting all your work and words on FB! It is a well known truth people do NOT purchase what they THINK they can get for free and although you may have a million pieces in your arsenal...the 100 you post on fb daily is enough to keep people fed and NOT buying your books. Take a page out of the books of your fellow fiction and non-fiction authors/writers...they do not post their words on fb, they post their BOOKS on fb!!! They post book links and promo ads for their books. Why? Because they understand if people want to read their work, they must purchase their work! Likes and comments are great but likes and comments dont sell books and being FB Famous wont put a dime in your empty pocket or account! Again, if you are in it just for the love of poetry and writing, more power to you, but if you have aspirations to ever turn what you love into a profit making career or business...post your book(s), not your words!!! And those of you who I have published for know this statement wont profit me because I dont take ROYALTIES!!!
