RESEARCH & SURFING: Lina Lundgren (Lead Biomechanist, Surfing Australia HPC) is looking for surfers 16 years of age and older (recreational through to professional level) to be involved in a research study. Commitment: - 1 x 2 hour testing session at the University of Wollongong during 3-4 December, 2013 - Then fill in a booklet of weekly surfing hours, exercise and any injuries for 6 months. What you will get: An extensive physical performance assessment conducted by Surfing Australia High Performance Centre free of charge. The tests include questionnaires, your body mass, height, ankle and hip range of motion, lower body strength and power, landing skills, jump rotation and single leg squats. The project will test an injury prediction model aimed at identifying injury risk from surfing manoeuvres.
