RESTAURANT REVIEW Baldino’s known for its Philly cheesesteak By Sy O’Neill Palm Beach Post Staff Writer MENU Italian specialties fill the menu, from bruschetta and antipasto to pizzas and pasta dishes. Baldino’s is famous for its Philly cheesesteaks (on authentic rolls, direct from Philadelphia), and a chicken version is also available. Rounding out the menu are chicken, veal and seafood entrees. ATMOSPHERE It’s a cozy spot, with booths and tables. The busy take-out area is separate from the dining area. OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE We took advantage of the Monday take-out special, a large cheese pizza ($8.99), which got the thumbs up from the pizza fans at our house. My sister ordered a large cheesesteak with mushrooms ($9.99, plus $1 for the mushrooms) and loved every bite. The chicken Parmesan ($16.99) was excellent, served with angel hair pasta, house salad and garlic rolls. The full portion was large, leaving lots left over for the next day’s lunch. REASON TO GO Wonderful food, great specials and with the pasta and chicken dishes, you can order a half portion. Great for those with smaller appetites! SERVICE Friendly, but more important, accurate. They got our large order cor rect, which is always a plus in my book. They also made sure we had a loyalty program card, so we could accumulate points with our purchases. NOISE LEVEL Not a problem, when we were there. KID FRIENDLY The kids will love it here. A menu for those 12 and younger includes pasta, chicken fingers and mac ‘n’ cheese — and ice cream is included for dessert. soneill@pbpost Baldino’s Italian Restaurant in Tequesta serves chicken, veal and seafood entrees.
