RESTORATIVE PRACTICE The art of non-doing is much more than doing - TopicsExpress

RESTORATIVE PRACTICE The art of non-doing is much more than doing nothing. It is a unique and radical invitation to rest, to allow body, heart and mind to rest deeper than we usually do. it is about finding ways to rest down under the familiar ways we hold ourselves. Much of our lives are habitual and even the way we rest is habitual. We rest only as deep as we have learned to and it never seems to fully satisfy .But it is possible to let things rest down much deeper than this. We can learn to rest all the way down. Deep rest is really deep trust. It is a process of learning to trust deeper than we have thus far. It is an intimate process of recognising the contours of our tension and releasing the subtle ways we hold on. It is just as much about feeling into a new and deeper terrain as it is about letting go of what is no longer necessary. In Deep Rest we are learning to trust the innate intelligence and grace of life. PAUL WOODEN Dharma Life
