RETREAT WEEKEND REDUCED PRICE AND CONFIRMED INFORMATION: 1. Price reduced to $99 per person (including chaperons and younger siblings and alumni). $50 deposit due ASAP (preferably before Friday). Balance due by next Friday, May 16th. 2. Meeting at LHS band room, Saturday morning, MAY 24TH, 7:30am. Caravan to Camp Shalom. We will dismiss from the CAMP on MONDAY, MAY 26TH, around noon. 3. Make checks payable to CAMP SHALOM 4. We are in need of Male and Female chaperons...... not a work position, just someone to sleep in cabins and make sure your crew is asleep when lights out. Other than that, you pretty much get to hang out and relax all weekend long. 5. Bring pillow, sheets (twin mattress), blankets or sleeping bags, shower towel, beach towel, good walking or hiking type of sneakers for ropes course and zip line. Toiletries, bathing suit, change of clothing, raingear if you want, sun block, bug spray, a sweater, SNACKS. 6. Emily Clemmer is coordinating the choosing of bunk partners. Remember to mix it up and no clicks. choose a group of 8 and make sure its a good mixture of people you know least in the band. This whole weekend is about bonding. 7. Alumni, parents and YOUNGER (8th grade or younger) siblings welcomed. Same price, $99 each and see payment guidelines in number 1. 8. Its a Christian (Jewish) camp and we will respect rules and behavior will be top shelf. Curb language and any infractions we will not hesitate to remove you from the camp (no refund) and/or call authorities to deal with laws. 9. ITS A ZERO ELECTRONICS WEEKEND !!! No exceptions. If you want pictures bring a camera because you are NOT keeping your phones. There is no signal there anyway but there is a land line phone in the office for emergency purposes. We will not bend on this rule. Parents, alumni, band members, chaperons, staff (cough, cough, Mr. Fielder, LOL). You will be utterly amazed at how nice a time you will have and how much conversation you will partake in with people you never knew before. Every year, you will hear others talk about how cool it actually was not to have any electronics around. 10. Please get your name and payment to CHAZ asap and see CHAZ with any questions. Mr. Fielder is hands off on this trip. Chaz will be working with Mr. Windham (our Band Parents President) and select parents with coordinating this event. and, YES, there will be the zip line, ropes course, slideshow and scavenger hunt again this year !!!
