REVISITING THE GENDER BIASED CULTURE IN DEALING WITH TEEN PREGNANCIES. The bulk of teen pregnancy related costs fall on the girls. Early fatherhood for instance does not carry stigma. In certain cultures, it is even celebrated. Focusing just on girls suggests that THEY ARE the problem: Over emphasis on girls implies that they are the ONLY problem.(Sheepa Hafiza). Does the over emphasis on girls disengage boys/men from assuming more responsibility in the prevention of teen pregnancies?
