RGV Attacks Censor Board Dhanalakshmi Ram Gopal Varma, the man who loves controversies and never bothers to express his feelings has now waged war against Censor Board RO Dhanalakshmi. He said in a press release that he is going to file a case against Film Censor Board officer at Nampally Court, Hyderabad on Monday for harassing, causing financial loss, abusing with foul language and overstepping her authority. This is with respect to Satya 2. From many years there has been huge discussion about Censor officer Dhanalakshmi in film circuit who has become hard nut for many film makers. Sources say that she focuses more on showing her authority on film makers than delivering her duties efficiently. A film maker who wanted to keep his name in anonymity said, “Sometimes she says that she cannot watch more than one film in a day. But censor board has 40-50 members to deploy whenever she requires. Each film needs 4 members. But she says that she cannot make arrangements for more than 1 film a day. Adding to that she never believes in members and demands to watch each and every film. When 4-5 films come for Censoring, she takes up only one and keeps the rest in queue. When a producer requests her to censor the film as release date has come close, she shouts, “How can you fix release date before censoring”? When the producer tries to give explanation, she harasses by postponing further. We never faced this sort of harassment from any censor officer earlier”. Another producer said, “She wants the producers fold their hands before her and beg. She has a tendency to play with celebrities and their egos with her assumed power”. “She never bends for money. But bends for a few powerful phone calls to deliver her duties in time. And not every film maker will have the power to move power centers to get duties delivered from her”, said another film maker. Despite many bad experiences with her behavior and tyranny, no one including the big guns like Mohan Babu pointed barrels on her. And now RGV is going ahead to fight with her. Allegations are that she abused the producers with filthy language, caused financial loss and misuse of authority. Close sources say that Dhanalakshmi harassed the producer of ‘Satya 2’ despite cutting down the scenes she suggested to cut. We have to see who wins between this hard nut and tough man.
