RHAPSODY OF REALITIES. NO OPTION TO THE GOSPEL *PASTOR CHRIS* SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6TH, 2013 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16). Every child of God ought to bear the same testimony of the Gospel as Paul in the scripture above. You must be convinced that the Gospel is God’s only saving power, and be committed to its spread around the world. Let’s not act as though there’s an alternative for salvation, for there are no options: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the only way: "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him (Jesus) all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:38-39). Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 (WEB), "...I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me." No wonder Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:16, "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel." This is the attitude we must have towards the preaching of the Gospel. Only through the Gospel is the righteousness of God revealed. "For therein (the Gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:17). No one can live a righteous life until he or she accepts the gospel of Christ. This is so because, only through Jesus Christ are men justified by faith, and thus have peace with God. So don’t be quiet. Preach the Word everywhere. The message of salvation has been entrusted to you (1 Timothy 1:11); you hold the key to the salvation of many around the world, so preach it with conviction, passion, and boldness. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your grace that’s manifested to save, heal, deliver, uplift and prosper all those who’ll embrace the glorious salvation that’s in Christ Jesus today, as the Gospel is ministered around the world. Thank you for the guidance and leading of the Spirit for us all, preaching the Word around the world today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Romans 10:8-15 New Life Version (NLV) 8 This is what it says, “The Good News is near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart.” This Good News tells about putting your trust in Christ. This is what we preach to you. 9 If you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved from the punishment of sin. 10 When we believe in our hearts, we are made right with God. We tell with our mouth how we were saved from the punishment of sin. 11 The Holy Writings say, “No one who puts his trust in Christ will ever be put to shame.” 12 There is no difference between the Jews and the people who are not Jews. They are all the same to the Lord. And He is Lord over all of them. He gives of His greatness to all who call on Him for help. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved from the punishment of sin. 14 But how can they call on Him if they have not put their trust in Him? And how can they put their trust in Him if they have not heard of Him? And how can they hear of Him unless someone tells them? 15 And how can someone tell them if he is not sent? The Holy Writings say, “The feet of those who bring the Good News are beautiful.” DAILY SCRIPTURE READING 1 Year Reading Plan : Philippians 4:4-23, Isaiah 23-24 2 Year Reading Plan : John 4:10-18, 1 Kings 12
