RIBBA is pleased to announce the Keynote Speaker for the Annual Awards Gala, which is scheduled for Friday, October 4, 2013. Dr. Randal Pinkett will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Pinkett is an entrepreneur, speaker, author and scholar, and serves as a leading voice for his generation in business and technology. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of his fifth venture, BCT Partners, a multimillion-dollar management consulting and information technology solutions firm headquartered in Newark, NJ. Dr. Pinkett holds five academic degrees: BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, where he was also highly successful in sports - the high jump, long jump, and served as captain of the men’s track and field team. He earned the MSc in Computer Science from the University of Oxford in England; the MSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Pinkett has been featured on nationally televised programs such as The Today Show, Live with Kelly and Michael, Nightline and CNN, and he was recognized by USA TODAY as one of the top 20 scholars in the country. Dr. Pinkett was the first and only African-American to receive the prestigious Rhodes scholarship at Rutgers University.
