RINGWOULD near Dover (update): A young woman who was hit and killed by a car on the A258 on Saturday night has been named as 18-year-old Mara Nunes, from Walmer near Deal. Mara was a former pupil at Sandwich Technology School, where College Head James McAuley described her as being “sensitive, insightful and caring.” She died after being knocked down by a silver Vauxhall Astra around 8:40pm on January 10. Mara is said to have been walking along the A258 Dover Road towards Dover when she was struck between Ripple Road and the Ringwould Road turning to Kingsdown.
