RIP Mayor Menino, you were the peoples Mayor. You always represented Boston well and made great positive changes for our city. People always gave you flack for being Mayor Mumbles, but you were genuine and down to earth. Im very sad to hear of your passing, but I hope you rest peacefully after your tough fight. Man I was going into the 4th grade when you became Mayor... and you held it down all the way until recently when you just going do it anymore physically. :-) Hands down Mayor Menino took the time to CARE about the issues affecting Black Boston 300%.... like I cant describe it, again he was definitely the mayor of the people. He never did anything sketchy like you hear other Mayors doing that I can recall. He would show up to our Rallies, Non-Profit and public school events... I know thats part of a Mayor job, but he would be authentically enjoying himself, he wasnt doing for political gain, he liked helping and inspiring people. Mayors Youth Council! Shaylas first official job.... yes! Lastly, he made Boston wicked pretty. Potholes, etc, not on his watch. Big Dig completed. Dedicated corner stores in Roslindale (where I spent most of my time). Aww man..... Rest in Paradise Mayor Menino! HANDSDOWN my hometowns best Mayor EVA! (Because we dont say our Rs in Boston!)
