AN off-duty police officer performed CPR on motorcyclist seriously injured in the hit and run on the A49 at Moreton-on-Lugg before ambulance crews arrived. The motorcyclist died at the scene despite advanced resuscitation and life support. A major police hunt is now underway countywide for the woman driver who sped away from the collision scene close to Moreton crossroads towards Hereford. Little is confirmed about the car beyond the description of a green or grey hatch back. The first 999 crews reached the scene just after 11.30am this morning. By then, an off-duty police officer was performing CPR on the seriously injured motorcyclist who was in cardiac arrest. Medics took took over resuscitation and started advanced life support, but the victim was confirmed dead shortly afterwards.
