RIP to Philip Seymour Hoffman, one of my favorite character actors ever and hands down one of the greatest actors in the world. I always looked forward to his scene stealing roles in everything he did. Didnt matter if it was an Oscar winning role For Capote or a comedic supporting role in Along Came Polly, he always gave 100%. And he gave one of my favorite villain performances ever in Mission: Impossible III, going toe to toe with mega star Tom Cruise. Ironic that he later played a cult leader that directly takes after scientology in The Master but thats for another day. The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when were uncool. - Lester Bangs.
