RISE AND FALL OF MICE AND RATS Once upon a time, there was a perpetual fears, poverty, penury and famine among the mice and rats who had once lived in a single hole; there were a fierce cats and dogs standing unceasingly awaiting either one of the mice or rats may fall in their claws or fang. While they had living in this dilemma situations of unknown circumstance. For this, a mouse who was a big considerably compares to others mice and rats. He (mouse) stood up and called upon his members of this great community, they all gathered in absolute silence maintained in order to hear a message conveyed by their master for them. All of the mice and rats curiously asking one another about this strange gathering and what was this message that our master like to pass on us? they were all murmuring about the outcome of this jamboree, some were afraid that was something wrong would certainly going to happens to them but some were optimistic that their leader (mouse) might come up with a good ideas to ends the constant fear of cats and dogs which have been unvarying stood beside their hole to pounce on any of the rats or mice who had single out himself. The murmuring ceased for a moment! With the sight of the mouse scurrying towards the place where all mice and rats converged. He (mouse) stood up and said. O my comrades! our enclave is under attack by the colony of cats and dogs , all hands must be on desk to fight against our common enemies who were (cats and dogs)right now stand in the front of our hole awaiting to catch anyone of you who is daring to come out to challenge them. ‘Together We Stand Divided We Fall. ‘This piece of ideological slogans had become a familiars to every mice and rats, they all abide by this ideology and recited it every times and even used to address themselves’’ together we stand divide we fall’ whenever comrades happened to meet one another. In this enclave everybody preparing and arming themselves to fight against the usual threats to their lives and the existence of the enclave as a whole. Every mice and rats have felt anxious to fight and sacrifices for the good of his enclave and the prosperity of his kids. The mouse who has the ability to speak rhetorically to convince his enemies and even the soldiers who stand for defend the enclave from the colonization of cats and dogs. Before the threats of cats and dogs in their hole there was no government and only they lived in a stateless condition, nobody was claimed to be a leader but rather they shared a common interest of defending the hole from external aggression and searching food to sustain the mice and rats said to have been cohabited in this enclave. The mouse who was a biggest among the mice and rats but he appeared to be a nasty poor and wore a tattered clothes. By this consideration he mustn’t be a leader though his speeches were so penetrative and persuasive whenever he talked people never misquoted him. Because while he addressing them about the future of this enclave we are going to create a state in which everyone would enjoys luxuriously. Our state could be run along a utopian socialism ideology; it was a system whereby every one of the rats and mice shall have to live freely and work collectively to ensure the existence of this community. By doing so, all of the mice and rats have unanimously agreed upon to elected him as a leader who was commanding reverences from his followers but the rules says Together We Stand And Divided We Fall . Equal Enjoyment and Equal Treatment. Agreed! Agreed! But the laws guiding the principles of their government was formulated in hurry and made a hasty conclusion which gave much confidence and power to the leader without being checkmated by his core. In the long run, after the battle which they have succeeded over the cats and dogs. He now begin to establish his kingdom in which his authority shall be exercise without fear or favor. As the kingdom was being wielding much power and sovereignty the segregation and marginalization of power have manifested which had brought about a rupture in the circle of these rats while mice were put in better position enjoying much better than the rats who had once fought together for the existence this enclave. The whimsical behavior of rats always put him in a better position but forgetting the traps set for him some rats were better off while others were felt marginalized and betrayed by the leader whom they have enthroned and canonized by many of the rats. Some of whom have resort to begging and flattering unnecessarily, sycophancy and hypocrisy have become a dinner, and lunch among the retinue of the rats. Two of the rats who were known for their eccentrics of deceiving, and outmaneuvering others for the good of their leader and whom they thought never loves them anymore. In turns, the two rats have now decided to embark upon a new journey of mutiny lead by these rebels. They vowed to see the downfall of their master whom they flattered long ago, they never thought they would have been casted away from the movement by sensing this danger of expulsion from the kingdom they went to forged a ways cunningly to demoralize the others to stage a new insurrection against the existing leader by changing the status qou through the lobbying another (mouse) who is also living in a separate enclave to stand against their leader. The two infuriated rats have been advised to sheathe the swords to table their motions and problems to the big mouse but they denied this advice. The politics among the big mouse and rats has been overheated by the action of the segregation and over pampering mice while rats were subjugated and despaired of finding a good future. Mind you, these two rats have failed to make a good ideology for others to accept it because they were subservient and vulnerable to the politics of mouse and the ideology which they cling on is remain elusive. For many, the two rats would be soon re- coopted if they sheathe their swords. As a matter of fact, the rats wins a war over the mouse because the mouse has been solid entrenched in the circle of power if they challenges him alone many of the mice and mouse shared power will definitely rise against the two rats to a greater degree . the two rats who lack ideological concepts to face the rotten political structure of the mice will find it hard to win the war .
