#RIVERS’ CRISIS: Senate C’ttee Meets Wike, Others# The Senate Committee on State and Local Government Administration yesterday met with the minister of state for Education, Senator Lee Maeba, as well as two former deputy speakers of the Federal House of Reps, Prince Chibudom Nwuche and Chief Austin Opara, over the current political crisis in Rivers State. This is as a chieftain of the PDP in the state; Chief Wobo Owhor, has enjoined the Senator Kabiru Gaya-led committee to do a thorough and unbiased investigation into the recent fracas in the State House of Assembly. The meeting, held at Le-Meridian Hotel, GRA, Port Harcourt, was the fifth in the series of meetings between the committee and political stakeholders and security operatives, in the committee’s effort to find a lasting solution to the crisis rocking the state. Apart from the crew of the NTA, journalists have been prevented from entering the committee’s meeting venues since their arrival in Port Harcourt, the state capital. DETAILS LATER!
