Works may be affected by inclement weather and updates will be issued where possible. ** Roadworks highlighted with stars are in the local area. ** EVENTS STOCKTON WEEKENDER / SIRF 2013 A1305 Riverside, Stockton: Tuesday 23rd July 6pm – Monday 5th August 11.59pm, 2013 A1305 Riverside, Stockton will be closed from 6pm on Tuesday 23rd July until 11.59pm Monday 5th August 2013. The road will be closed from North Shore gyratory to its junction with Tower Street. Signed diversion routes will be in place. Access to Quayside Road will be maintained during the festival. Between 26th and 29th July, access to Castlegate Centre car park will be via Tower Street only; the spiral ramp will be closed to the general public. Stockton High Street: Thursday 1st August 4am – Sunday 4th August 11.59pm, 2013 Stockton High Street with be closed to vehicular traffic between the northern and southern bus turning loops from 4am Thursday 1st August until 11.59pm Sunday 4th August 2013. Alternative bus service arrangements will be in place and Information notices will be placed on bus stops in the days before the start of the Festival. Signed diversion routes will be in place. Additional rolling road closures will be required for the Community Carnival and Finale. These are as follows: Community Carnival Parade – Saturday 3rd August, 2013 (12pm-1pm) Finale – Sunday 4th August, 2013 (9.30pm – 11pm) Stockton High Street: Between its junctions with Norton Road and the northern bus loop. Stockton High Street: From the southern bus loop to its junctions with Yarm Lane and Bridge Road. Tower Street/ Riverside Road Southern end: Riverside Road: Between Tower Street and the existing closure point north of Castlegate Centre car park access. STOCKTON TOWN CENTRE WORKS Stockton High Street Southern Loop As part of the ongoing High Street improvement works, temporary traffic management will continue to be in operation on Stockton High Street. Final traffic signal loop cutting works will be carried out on the morning of Sunday 28 July, lane closures will be in operation. St Johns Crossing – Riverside / Bridge Road, Stockton Birse Civils LTD are continuing. works on a scheme to improve access to Stockton town centre. The works will include two new linked signal-controlled junctions in place of the existing Riverside Road / Bridge Road roundabout, and realignment of Riverside Road to straighten out its connection with 1825 Way. The construction works are expected to be completed in autumn 2013. The majority of the work will take place during the daytime with most traffic management measures in place between 9:30am and 3:30pm. To facilitate the full removal of the Riverside roundabout and construction of the new junction, a temporary right turn ban will be in operation for all vehicles exiting Parkfield Road out onto Bridge Road from 15th July for approximately 18 days, 24hr operation. To allow carriageway construction and resurfacing works to be carried out, various overnight road closures / lane restrictions will be in operation during weeknights for the next 3-4 weeks. Fri 26 July –Tower Street, temporary closure, 8pm - midnight. Also, central area of the St Johns junction, local diversions will be in effect, midnight – 5am. Mon 29 July - Wed 31 July – Riverside Road, south of the SIRF closure. Thurs 1 August - Fri 2 August – midnight - 5am, Bridge Road (Tower Street to Churchyard Link Road) and A1130 Bridge Road (Boathouse Lane / Chandlers Wharf junction). Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. OTHER WORKS Ingleby Way, Ingleby Barwick As a result of SBC/Lafarge Tarmac carrying out carriageway resurfacing works, temporary traffic signals (Hattons Traffic Management 01388 710880) are required on Ingleby Way, from Thornaby Road roundabout to Lowfields / Beckfields Roundabout, on Thursday 25 July until Friday 26 July 2013. A road closure with a signed diversion route will be in place from Monday 29 July until Wednesday 31 July 2013 during off peak times only. Darlington Road, Stockton As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out a tarmac footpath maintenance scheme, temporary two-way traffic signals and Stop / Go boards will be in operation, where required, on Darlington Road from Monday 15 July 2013 for approximately 3 weeks. A1044 Green Lane, Yarm As a result of NWL carrying out trial hole excavations, temporary traffic signals (Roadsafe 01914146999) are required on A1044 Green Lane, 50M east of Ayresome Court Nursing Home, from Monday 29 July until Friday 2 August 2013, off peak only Barwick Way, Ingleby Barwick As a result of SBC/Lafarge Tarmac carrying out carriageway resurfacing works, temporary traffic signals (Hattons Traffic Management 01388 710880) are required on Barwick Way, from Sober Hall roundabout to Ingleby Mill School roundabout, from Thursday 1 August until Tuesday 6 August 2013. Bishopton Road West, Stockton As a result of SBC/Lafarge Tarmac carrying out a number of carriageway resurfacing works, temporary 2-way, 3-way and 4-way traffic signals (Hattons Traffic Management 01388 710880) are required along Bishopton Road West, from Rimswell Road / Fairfield Road traffic lights along to Elm Tree Ave junction, and on to the Barlborough Avenue junction, starting Thursday 1 August until approx Friday 16 August 2013, off peak working only. Norton Road, Stockton As a result of the Brown Jug demolition works, temporary traffic signals (Ashtead Plant Hire 07867786196 will be in operation) on Norton Road between Mount Pleasant Road and Windmill Terrace from 6am-6pm, Sunday 4 August.
