RYANS PRIDE Ryan Mason made his 10th successive start for us in the Premier League against Crystal Palace and told us: I won’t let up. The midfieder completed three matches in a week ‘for the first time in a while’ after facing Everton, Chelsea and Palace. A product of our Academy, Ryan made his breakthrough with a cracking goal off the bench against Forest in the League Cup on September 24. He made his Premier League debut at Arsenal three days later and has been a fixture in the team since. “It’s great to be out there, great to be starting and it’s what I’ve wanted for a long time, so I’m not going to let up,” said the 23-year-old. “The fans appreciate the home-grown players coming through and they can see what it means for us to pull on the shirt. “As long as I’m out on the pitch I’ll give nothing less than 100 per cent.” That was the case again against Palace but Ryan and his team-mates were left disappointed by the goalless draw at the Lane. “It was tough. Palace came here to do a job, sat off and tried to catch us on the counter-attack,” he added. “To be fair, they did a good job at that. “We’re disappointed we couldn’t break them down and get an early goal because that would have opened the game up. “There is no easy game in this league. Every team has ability and just because you are at home, you can’t just expect to get the three points. Palace did well and you have to give them credit for that. We’re just disappointed we didn’t create more chances.”
