Race Report 9/26/13: With cool fall weather setting in, the racing was still hot at "Little" Wall. The Baja Modifieds were up first as the evening temperatures dropped, Aaron "the stig" Leinemann was once again up to the challenge of a growing field of cars. Leinemann led all 75 laps while the race for second raged between Chuck Eccles, Jim Jensen , and Neil Rutt. At the checkers it was Eccles finishing second and Rutt continuing to impress in only his second R/C race, coming in third. The Sportsman drivers were up to the challenge that the cooler weather poses for them as dew started to fall on the track, with very few cautions considering how slick the track was. A nine time Major Touring and 1/12th on road champion, Jeff Cuffs, made his first start with JSRCR driving the rent a ride #89 WCM. Jeff qualified on the pole over his car owner Dave Carpenter, the two paced the field in the early laps until Carpenter tangled with Ken Hammond putting them bother to the rear. Carpenter would drop out later due to driveline failure. Cuffs went on to lead all but a few laps to take the checkered with Jim Jensen and Chuck Eccles rounding the top three. The JSRCR racers return to "Little" Wall this Thursday Evening 10/3! Gates open by 4:00 first heat 7:30!
