Rachel Maddow, liberal darling of U.S. corporate media culture, supports sanctions against Iran, which cause hunger and medical shortages for the people of Iran. Maddow is one of those corporate media celebrities considered to be on the "left" in our extremely narrow political system. She and her supporters might want to consider the definition of terrorism: "The calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological." This definition comes from the U.S. Department of Defense, hardly a radical left wing group.
