Radar estimating a narrow stripe of 4-5 of rain over Yates County in last 3-4 hours. Severe Flash Flooding is occurring in Penn Yan and Branchport, NY. Lots of impassable roads, and flooded homes being reported at this time throughout the western and central portion of Yates. The train of heavy rain producing thunderstorms will continue moving across southern Seneca and southern Cayuga counties through 3 AM with rain rates of 1-2 per hour. Additional flooding likely in these counties too. Flash Flood warnings in effect. Avoid these areas. Evacuate to higher ground at the first sign of flooding.
