Rafael Benitez inspired me with his philosophy to build a team - TopicsExpress

Rafael Benitez inspired me with his philosophy to build a team from the defence upwards. Mathematics explains any aspect of life, including football tactics. With that I wanted to build a system of defence that was of catennacio in principle, while at the same time allowing any player - including average players - to fulfill their required roles to satisfaction if they understood the logic behind it. So today, Merseysiders Global were invited to play against a very well organized team known only as Soccer Maniacs FC, a team of very experienced players who take football seriously and ferociously with a culture of their own, one of the best teams I have seen to date. It was the best chance to put catennacio to the test, absorbing relentless attacks from our rivals using players at key points without letting the opposition stray to deep (which our rivals still created many chances showing how good they were). After spraying long balls into their half on our counter attacks, we changed tactics in the last 10 minutes to do something different, and moving the ball up with triangular passes saw our midfielder Nick and striker Daniel penetrating our rivals defence before the latter slotted the ball into the net for the only goal of the match. Daniel is the leading scorer in the team now. Most importantly, it was our first clean sheet and catennacio has now achieved its intended purpose with our boss defence. We are just grateful to our rivals who were gentleman throughout, and a class of a team with my terrific friend Jerome in their team causing us loads of problems. YNWA.
