Rafael Nadal warns Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer World No.1 Rafael Nadal has shot a warning to his adversaries ahead of the upcoming Bercy Masters and the ATP World Tour Finals. The Spaniard has said that he is determined to put in some extra effort at the season concluding events. Thirteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal may have had his best year on the ATP circuit, but his motivation hasn’t died. The World No.1 now has his sights set on winning two titles that he has never won before – the first of which is the Paris Masters that kicked off today. Rafa, who is undoubtedly one of the favourites at the event, has admitted that he tends to struggle at with the indoor hard courts. Talking to the media before leaving for Paris, he said, There are two tournaments left and Ill try to arrive in good shape, with a good feeling in my game, now that the overall sensation has already been achieved. Theyre very demanding and historically Ive always struggled, especially due to the indoor hard courts, but Ill try to give an extra effort to play at a good level.” At the two season-ending events, Nadal has managed reaching the finals but has failed to go beyond them. In fact, this is only the fourth time that Rafa is competing here in Bercy. He added, After an almost perfect year, if I dont win anything else, Ill go home with a great feeling because its been an unforgettable year for me. No doubt one of the best of my career.” The Spaniard’s record over the years has been stunning. His 68-5 win-loss record has seen him reach 13 finals out of which he has won 10.
