RailaOdinga ..I understand what you go through... When I, Raila Amollo Odinga,was born,my father was ad teacher. Much later,he became Vice President.He was soon known to Kenyans because of his fight for the people left landless after independence.Jaramogi was my father,but I also knew him as a man who loved his country as much as his family. Jaramogi suffered for his love of his fellow Kenyans. Twice,auctioneers sent by the government took all our belongings, destroying the bus company my father had built,and taking all the farm equipment and furniture from our home in Bondo,leaving us with nothing.We had to fight for survival,but my father had taught us to be strong. I am a Kenyan who has been through hard times,like you,and I sympathize when life is so difficult.I want to help... You probably know me as a politician,but today,I ask you to take a second look,and to see me as your fellow citizen;as your brother; as your father and as your neighbour whom I love as myself.The dreams I have for our country might not be so different from yours. All I ask is that we have a chance to achieve them together because...WE ARE ONE.
