Rain will gradually move into northern and western areas of England and will continue to progress eastwards this evening, affecting North East England and parts of Yorkshire. For the rest of western England and Wales, we have a cloudy picture here, but any rain is likely to remain light and patchy in nature. Remaining fine and sunny in the South East for remainder of the day, but with a tendancy to cloud over later this evening but it will remain dry, some patchy rain may develop overnight. For the Midlands and central southern counties it will start to cloud over during the next few hours with some light and patchy rain moving in from the west tonight. Rain will continue to affect much of Scotland, gradually easing later. NI will continue to see some showers for a time but conditions will start to improve later this evening. Temperatures for tonight will be quite fresh for the northern half of the UK with 8°c – 11°c expected. For the southern half, temperatures will be higher with a muggy feel expected with temperatures up to 17°c for some areas, especially eastern areas of England. Ranging from 15°c -17°c elsewhere.
