Raising question over the announcement made by S.K. Sinha (Retd.) during University Council meeting regarding establishment of Gojri and Pahadi Research Centre in 2008 which is nowhere in site till date, NPSU demanded its immediate establishment for the welfare of Pahadi people. Mr. Partap Singh Jamwal (State President NPSU & Org. Secy. Yuva Panthers) said that the Rajouri Unit of the wing under the leadership of Syed Zeshan Kazmi had protested for the same number of times and is still demanding the establishment of Pahadi and Gojri research centre through hunger strikes and other ways, but the Chief Minister of the State has maintained criminal silence over the same. The two languages and their speakers are facing discrimination for the long due to the indifferent attitude of NC-Congress government. Partap said the two communities have a distinct cultural as well historical identities in the states. But the ruling coalition has left no opportunity to suppress the identity of them. “It was Panthers Party that helped Dogri listed in eight schedule of the constitution due to their endless efforts of Prof. Bhim Singh and other party leaders, otherwise the cultural identity of the Dogra Community have been endangered by the would Kashmiri Leadership, said Partap. He warned Omar Govt. to establish the centres as soon as possible, otherwise the NPSU activists will come on the streets openly for the same.
