Rajdeep Sardesai was assaulted more than once yesterday from various accounts emerging from NYC, but now edited videos are being circulated by the knickerati to make it seem that he assaulted the crowd and abused them. Can that possibly sound logical even to Narendra Modis hard-core admirers? Anyway, heres an eyewitness account of one of the episodes yesterday, the eyewitness being fellow journalist and my former colleague Achint Sharma. If I had to choose between believing Rajdeep & journalists I trust on the one hand as opposed to Modi acolytes who have spent the past five years on the social media abusing, threatening rape, murder and other forms of violence against the secular media, who would I believe? #IStandWithRajdeep
