Rajshree Boyragee ~ Hello, friends. I am part of the group Say No To Animal Experiments in Mauritius, and weve been advocating against cruel research on animals for a while now. The government of Mauritius has a Pre-Clinical Testing Bill which is being worked on. However, weve collected thousands of petition signatures against animal experiments and have drawn that to their attention. There is a group called Pro-Test Mauritius which has been just created by pro-vivisection lobbyists and people who partake in the business of breeding and exporting monkeys for research abroad. As you might know, Mauritius is, sadly, the second largest exporter of Monkeys for research after China. So far, the country had not legalised animal experiments but a recent legislation had a clause for animal experimentation, and the Pre-Clinical Research bill will give legal effect to that clause. I am urging you to perhaps leave a comment against animal testing on the Pro-test Mauritius page and to ask friends you know who might care about this issue to do the same. They are using pure proganda over there.
