• Ralph Austria >CNN COVERAGE>OPINION: CNN coverage of the disaster brought by super-typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines drew criticisms and consternations from a lot of Filipinos world-wide particularly the interview by CNN correspondent Christianne Amanpour of Philippine President Benigno Aquino III where she injected in subtlety the blame for the slow relief operations to Mr. Aquino. I have to remind CNN that its role is accurate news reporting and that you and your correspondents are not in the position to give opinions unless its the opinions that your audience is asking. CNN is biased in its reporting of the coverage of the disaster in the Philippines especially of Mr. Anderson Coopers where he insinuated lack of government visibility in the disaster area. Your reporting incites confusion to Filipinos affected by the tragedy to feel more desperate rather than giving hope and finding the best out of the dire and hapless situations. – this angered me and many other Filipinos; it does not in anyway help particularly those who are directly affected.. You should strive to state the facts and get the informations made privvy to you by the authorities on the scene as accurately as possible; do not form your opinions and describe them as if they are facts. (RA) I feel the same way, well said Ralph
