Ralph Hoyte - Declamatory Poet via Mytho Geography "One of the Romantic Poets’ favourite pursuits was tracking the converging course of the streams from Dowsborough Hill, and following them down to the sea at Kilve. They began to work like plein-air painters, taking elaborate notes of the varied effects of light on the landscape, of plants and water, of wind and cloud and starlight. Night walks were as frequent as daylight ones and Dorothy’s Journal (which begins in January 1798) shows that this continued into the winter." (Richard Holmes, Coleridge, Early Visions)
