[Ramadan FAQs] Is it permissible to get MARRIED in RAMADAN? Since there is nothing in the Quran or Sunnah to prohibit getting married during the blessed month of Ramadan, it is PERMISSIBLE to get married at any point during its days and nights. Many people also believe that you cannot get married between Eid-ul Fitr and Eid-ul Adha. This claim has no basis from the Quran and Sunnah and hence it is perfectly okay to get engaged or married between the two eids. It should be noted that it is NOT permissible to propose, get engaged or married when a person is in a state of Ihraam when performing Hajj or Umrah.
