Ramapough Lenape Nation The Tribal Roll will re-open on October 01, 2014 and remain open until December 31, 2014. After December 31, 2014 the Roll will remain closed until the new Administration is able to select a new Genealogy Committee and make some changes to the Enrollment Process. Please note that the new Enrollment Process will also include an Enrollment Fee for all new applicants and the amount will be decided and posted on the Website when the Roll is opened again. Currently any member that has lost or misplaced their Tribal Card can send in a request for a Replacement Card along with a $10.00 money order to cover the cost of processing the Replacement Card. You will also have to send a stamped self-addressed envelope along with your request to mail you Replacement Card back to you. New Applicants, from October 01, 2014 to December 31, 2014, there will be no New Enrollment Fee. If you have access to a computer you can scroll down to the end of the Home Page and under the column “BlogRoll” click on the Tribal Enrollment Application link and download a PDF copy of the Enrollment Application. Anyone that needs an application mailed to them must send in a stamped self-addressed envelope requesting the application be mailed to them. Anyone living within the Tribal Building area can always go the building and pickup applications if needed. The enrollment application is two pages that must be fill-out completely, all three (3) columns on the first page, and one of your ancestors must have one of the qualify Ramapough surnames and born before 1940. The qualifying surnames are (Castelonia, Conklin, De Freese, De Groat, Dennison, Jennings, Mann, Milligan, Morgan, Perry, Powell, Sisco). Your ancestor with one of the qualifying surnames must be found in the 1900 United States Census Records living in one of the qualifying New Jersey or New York areas. The application also must include you telephone number and email address if you have one, so we can reach you if needed. All new applicants must send in a copy (not the original) of their birth certificate, and the certificate must have their qualifying Ramapough Parent(s) name on it. No Birth Certificate will be accepted if it does not have this information on it. If you have a birth certificate without your parent(s) name, then you will have to order a new one with the names on it. You must also send in a stamped self-addressed envelope along with the application to send your new Tribal Card to you, if your application is approved. If your application is not approved it will be returned to you in the envelope. Genealogy Committee
