Ramayana: An Alternate Ending I was introduced to this - TopicsExpress

Ramayana: An Alternate Ending I was introduced to this alternate ending by my Granny during her soothing session of bedtime stories and was reminded of this by my Jain Friend. I was so startled by the fact that it was not a mere bed time story. It was an opinion, a convincing opinion. Well, given the fact how wise Shiva was and how he had renounced all earthly pleasures, we cannot make him for a fool who is pleased by the prayers of a plotting Evil and makes him Godly powerful. Lord Shiva was not a fool to fall for such ego warming words of praises. Raavan must have been something to attract his attention. And how he offended Human rights Commission by Kidnapping Sita. The opinion I heard says Sita was the first daughter of Raavans Wife, Mandodhari. Due to some moral issues she was forced to abandon her. I mean, how can earth make babies. If earth could make babies we would be out of job. And Now how my friend narrated the rest of Ramayana was interesting. He said, Raavan was so powerful that no earthly things could kill him and death was a humble servant to him. He wanted mokshya (Nirvana) but there was nobody who could defeat him. And suicide has always been a crime. So Lord Shiva as always came with the solution. His friend Lord Vishnu needed a hero status (Lord Vishnu Couldnt help, I mean stardom kinda gets into you.). So they together plotted Ramayana because only God could defeat Raavan. Everything was mere plan to escape the earthly boundaries. Now what Vishnu did was up to him. I know it was foolish move to succumb into belief of society and abandon his wife. (Remember how Raavan didnt touch(You know what I mean) Sita during her days of capture. Seriously, A man who was so blinded by Lust didnt even touch her. There must be something. Dont tell me there was a curse. Any powerful man to cast such curse could end battle of Ramayana in One stroke. Seriously a Curse?) Well I do not in anyways support any religious mumbo jumbo but I am big fan of these comical opinions. They are always fascinating.
