Ramblings from the End of the Road: Good Friday to all and a warm and wonderful day it is here at the end of the road. 81 degrees -- enjoy this weather and this weekend as we all should know by now, mother nature has a way of getting even with us. I took a trip into one of my favorite State Parks -- Silver Falls in Oregon. Didnt spend a lot of time there but enough to get some quality images. I was hoping for a bit more Fall color but neither the vine maples nor the big leaf maples had turned yet. I shall give it a couple or 3 weeks and repeat the trip -- stand by. And a funny thing happened at the volleyball match yesterday at Washougal. I was the down official in charge of net faults. There were many many during the not so well played match. So many that my whistle was nearly warn out from being blown so much. During the 4th and final set one of the Hudsons Bay players, who wasnt too far from me, turned around and started yelling at me to call a net violation on one of the Washougal players (I couldnt tell if the net was bobbing and weaving and hit her or her hair hit the net so i opted not to call anything). Anyhow, this young lady stopped her play right in the middle of the rally , stood and yelled at me at the same time the ball dropped and hit her in the foot. Side out.
