Ramsey, Raymond In the arms of an angel, Raymond Reed Ramsey Triple R, 81, of Radford, flew away from here on Thursday September 25, 2014 to the love of his life, Leona, in their forever home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Leona Shelton Ramsey; their son, Mark; his parents, Garfield and Virginia; and his brother, Jack. Those left to cherish Raymonds memory are his son, Dr. Tony Ramsey and his wife Kim; his daughter, Sonia Ramsey and her companion Jimmy Whitlock; his grandsons, Stevie and Madison Ramsey; his brother, Garfield Ramsey and his wife Lois; a special cousin, Christine Cook; along with several special family members and numerous friends. Born and raised in Radford, Raymond left only when he served his country as a Seaman in the United States Navy. He returned to Radford and served the citizens in the Radford City Police Department from 1959 until the day he passed away. He is now in the arms of the angels. May he find comfort there. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. onSunday September 28, 2014 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday September 29, 2014 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend David Trail officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
