Ahmed Shayan returned to his usual holding role while Huzaifa Abbasi and Hassam Bhutta started on the wings. Hassam Ali taking his usual spot upfront. Well many may have heard the phrase, men against boys and it was exactly what went on during the game as the highly experienced Red Devils dispatched away the Greens. And even though, it was Garrison who made the early running with Mamu and Huzaifa both hitting the wood-work, it was the Reds who took the lead courtesy of an Haris Qamar finish. The second half saw the introduction of Affnan at the back as Hamid was moved to the left wing in order to seek an equalizer, the Greens so desired. However, if the first half was dominated by the Devils, the second was pure master class as they relentlessly put on the pressure with Janu scoring twice, Haris adding another and Mani slipping the ball past a diving Sohaib to proceed into the semi-finals. While on the other hand, the Greens failed to even hold on to possession with the only chance falling Huzaifas way who tested the keeper with the outside of his left boot. But was unable to add any consolation as Garrison suffered their worst defeat in a tournament.
