Having served in Iraq as part of our armed forces, this day brings a lot of personal reflection about the sacrifices our troops make everyday to protect our country. As we honor our Veterans today, I’d like your help on an issue that I have spent a lot of time working on and is crucial to taking care of our Veterans when they come home. Over 400,000 Veterans have been waiting four months or more for their disability claim to be processed by the VA. Some have even been waiting over two years. This isn’t right and we need to do better for those who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.
