Randall, Senator McConnell proudly touts himself as the ‘Guardian of Gridlock,’ but his commitment to partisanship has come at an incredible cost. When Senator McConnell let partisan extremism shut down the government last fall, it drained $24 billion from the national economy, including as much as $127 million right here in Kentucky. When Senator McConnell blocked expansion of unemployment insurance benefits for purely partisan reasons, 18,000 Kentuckians lost their benefits at Christmastime. If he continues to stand in the way, that number could reach 53,000 in Kentucky by the end of the year. Enough is enough. Our Commonwealth and our country can no longer afford to pay for Senator McConnell’s partisanship. Donate now and help us reach our goal of raising $75,000 online before the end of the month. Because youve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: Express Donate: $15 Express Donate: $30 Express Donate: $50 Or donate another amount. Senator McConnell is the poster child of the partisanship that divides and paralyzes Washington. We deserve a Senator that fights for solutions, not petty political victories and stalemate. When I’m elected your next United States Senator, I will work tirelessly in Washington across party lines to reach common sense agreements that meet our needs. What I understand is something that Senator McConnell has forgotten during his nearly 30 years in Washington: behind all the numbers are the heartbreaking stories of real people—friends and neighbors doing everything they can to keep up with their bills and put food on their tables. These hardworking people can’t afford to pay for Senator McConnell’s partisanship—and they shouldn’t have to. I vow to follow a different path. I pledge to fight for a new day. Please join me. Contribute any amount you can now and help us reach our fundraising goal. Every donation moves us one step closer to getting someone in Washington that fights for you, not politics as usual.
