Randall – They’re at it again. For the fourth straight - TopicsExpress

Randall – They’re at it again. For the fourth straight year, the House GOP has voted to end Medicare as we know it — converting Medicare into a voucher program, turning it over to the insurance companies, and raising the eligibility age for seniors. It’s an absolutely outrageous proposal. And it requires a response from all of us, right now. Click here to join me in delivering this simple message from the American people to Republicans: Don’t end Medicare and leave our seniors without health care. Medicare has made a huge difference in the lives of all Americans. Before it was enacted in 1965, only 50 percent of our seniors had health insurance, and 30 percent lived in poverty. But the Ryan plan passed by House Republicans this year would end Medicare as we know it, replacing it with a voucher program and raising the eligibility age from 65 to 67. If it wasn’t clear already, it’s perfectly clear by now: If Republicans have their way, we’ll be headed back to an era where our seniors were left out in the cold while insurance companies reap the benefits. We can’t let that happen. That’s why we need to stop this plan in its tracks by joining together to call on Republicans to turn away from this path. Please click here to join me in telling Republicans: Stand with our seniors and families. Don’t end Medicare.
